Its all well and good taking your device such as mobile phone or PDA out on the road with you but some are very battery intensive and this can be especially so if you are using your PDA as a Sat-Nav device. In some cases well before you reach your destination your battery has given up the ghost leaving you guessing which turn to make next. Luckily there is a win-win solution from a company called Brodit. This is the Proclip and holder, they combine together to make an in car solution for holding your device tightly while at the same time giving you access to the screen and functions. If this isn't enough they have also thought about your devices battery needs and offer Brodit charging cradles and Brodit charging holders, which will keep your battery level at the top of Cafe World Domination.
Brodit supply two types of holder, these are the passive and the active. If you want to be able to charge your PDA then you will need the active holder with the cigarette plug attachment. The holder is secured in place the same way as the passive; this is via a clip that fits over the vent mount and in many cases simply slots into place over vent. Depending on the make and model of your car you might have several choices of installation for the clip and Brodit charging cradles. All clips are specific to the type of car you drive, make and even the year so choose carefully. The charging holder itself will be made to your specific device, so again you have to get the correct holder for your particular brand of phone, PDA, multimedia device, GPS system or trader pro system MP3 player.
The clip is secured in position and then the charging cradle is fixed securely onto this with screws. Once in position the holder will keep your device safe and secure with the screen in clear view.
All you have to do then is to attach the cable to the cigarette lighter in your car and slot your device down onto the plug in the bottom of the holder and your devices battery will not drain down.
All cradles come with a tilt swivel so that you are able to get a perfect view of the screen at all times. Brodit realise that screen glare will happen and so the holders are adjustable. When you leave your vehicle you simply take the device out of the holder and unplug the lighter cable and away you got. All cradles and clips are very easy to install into the car and the majority of individuals should have no problem fitting them within a few minutes. If you want a solution for holding your device securely then Brodit should be given some thought, they not only provide easy installation but this is one of the best systems when it comes to the design. If you change your model of device to the latest one all you have to do is buy a new cradle, not the whole thing, the clip can remain in place.

Brodit charging cradles are a stylish yet simple way of taking your device with you and having access to the features. The swivel and tilt is a great idea when it comes to avoiding sun glare and of course you do not have to worry about the battery dying on you. Brodit originated in Sweden and supply charging cradles and holder in the UK and USA for a wide range of vehicles and devices. |
